  1. I have a few pressing questions, if anyone can help, please. I’m asking because I periodically have joint pain but can’t get any decent information from my doctor. I really would like answers but don’t know how to find out. Thanks in advance.

    1) How do you know if you’ve got inflammation? If my CRP is less than 1, does that mean that I don’t have inflammation in my body?
    2) About 20 years ago, I had "Reactive Arthritis" following tonsillitis. Every joint was absolute agony – for more than a year – but every blood test was normal and no inflammatory markers were ever shown to be present. How is that possible and is a CRP test therefore meaningless?
    3) Finally….I’ve had tendonitis in my shoulder for a decade. Now my elbow and thumb are also very painful. On the basis that anti-inflammatory pills (eg Ibuprofen) are very effective for the pain, should I conclude that it’s caused by inflammation? And, if the answer is yes, would that suggest general inflammation throughout my body or could it be confined just to the areas mentioned?

  3. I am on a low carb diet …eat less than 25 gm carbs..I am Peromenopausal and get so much Inflammation in Gums and I don’t know what to do. Have been to the Dentist many many times.

  5. We eat no sugar, no refined food or oils or professed foods but eat keto. My hub has been doing weights and Pilates, daily walking. Then bam. Hip and lumbar osteoarthritis so much pain he can’t exercise 😩. He has no pain drugs that work on him or our 2 daughters. We need low inflammation diet

  6. Please dr Hyman, stop confusing sugar and starch, they are not one and the same, the difference being fructose, fructose is a poison, glucose is a precious nutrient

  9. My body has been in a flare for so long. Excessive, gas, bloating, pain, puffy face, acne popping up, body aches and pain, rosacea, and asthma. Additionally, im always so exhausted, and the brain fog is crazy. I can’t lose weight no matter how I eat and workout. I feel like a hot mess and want to just feel better.

    Lifestyle: Sedentary habits and stress exacerbate inflammation. Regular, moderate exercise and stress management (e.g., meditation, yoga, cold/heat therapy) can reduce it.
    Toxins: Pesticides, heavy metals, and harmful chemicals in food, skincare, and household products.
    Microbiome: Poor diets disrupt gut health, causing toxins to leak into the bloodstream, triggering systemic inflammation.

How can I stop stressing over it if I already have many inflammation factors like roundworms (which I try to get rid of), bad microbiome, autoimmune conditions, Herpes 6 and Epstein barre virus and I’m highly anxious person 😢I’m scared that before I eliminate all these negative factors it can lead to sth dangerous

  15. What can we do to increase our focus when working without having sugar then? I sometimes need soda because it gives me focus to sit at my desk and work. Coffee gives me too much anxiety so I can’t drink it for focus.

  18. I hear so many people when they talk about diet recommend nuts and fish. What if you are allergic to both of those things as I am I have severe asthma and I have been allergic to these things on my whole life and has been hospitalized many times from getting nuts in my mouth or eating fish. What do you recommend for someone like me?
