6 Anti Inflammatory Supplements That Actually Work (Joint Pain, Weight Loss, Autoimmunity & More)

Want to get rid of inflammation the natural way? Check out these supplements. These 6 anti inflammatory supplements can help cool off inflammation in the body and help you feel better.

Why is inflammation a problem? It is well known that inflammation can result in weight gain, arthritis, joint pain, hormone imbalances, sleep disturbances, immune system dysfunction, fatigue, poor cholesterol, and much more.

Managing inflammation, if done correctly, may help SOLVE these problems.

What is inflammation? Inflammation is a good thing and is part of the HEALING process and is perfectly NORMAL in the short term. But when it becomes chronic, it becomes an issue. Chronic inflammation can be triggered by autoimmune disease, gut issues, lingering infections, and constant exposure to allergens or irritants.

Want to get rid of inflammation? Check out these 7 supplements (+ some honorable mentions):

1. Alpha-lipoic acid (a powerful antioxidant compound found in plants including broccoli, spinach, red meat, Brussel sprouts, peas, carrots).
Potential benefits in diabetes as well as diabetic complications (neuropathy), also helpful for weight loss.
2. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane found in green vegetables, probably works by improving the flow of nutrients in and out of the cell via cell membrane).
Great for joint pain, arthritis, and osteoarthritis. It also helps with detoxification.
3. Quercetin (a flavonoid found in plants such as leafy greens, tomatoes, berries, and broccoli).
Reduces inflammation, great for allergies, heart health, and pain syndromes.
4. Fish oil (high in omega 3 fatty acids, improves the ratio of omega 6:3 which improves inflammatory cascade).
I use this for weight loss, cholesterol problems, and immune support.
5. Bromelain (group of enzymes found in pineapple).
Great for allergies, digestive issues, gut problems, arthritis, and asthma.
6. Curcumin/turmeric + black pepper for absorption (perhaps most well-studied anti-inflammatory on the list with more than 12,000+ articles).
Broad inflammatory support, great for autoimmune diseases, joint pain, and metabolic problems.

Honorable mentions include:
Ginger
Watercress
Green tea
Glycosaminoglycans

  1. GREAT VIDEO! I’m using 5-herb blend that reduces my pain in just hours and is a great addition to my existing treatments!

  2. I’m currently taking all of these except the ALA. After 6 weeks, I do see a lot of improvement. Thank you!

  3. Hi Dr would you recommend taking these all together daily as I suffer from chronic inflammation having skin problems etc dieting alone is not helping ibs and skin conditions like psoriasis and exzema hit me hard gps only prescribe me steroid wicjh I have come off for a long time now . But would you recommend taking these suops together daily

  4. I’m currently locked into a state of fatigue (brain & body), joint pain, inflammation+++, metabolic problem, weight gain,. I’m trying hard to get on with the things that matter in my life but feel like the walking ‘unalived’. Also, anaemia and adrenal insufficiency. Doctors keep lowering my NDT dose (due to lab comment of over-treatment, even though my values are within range, apart from TSH) and this insane cascade of problems begins within 2 weeks of decrease and is very hard to reverse. I’m now on month 9 of debilitating illness (again) due to dose decrease and this time, I can’t get out of it. Each time dose is lowered, the effects are worse. And ofcourse, when the dose is increased to emininate the problems caused, the T3 get into the cells. It’s a viscious cycle. Apology for whinging about how I feel, but it really gets me this way with chronic illness and nowhere to turn for help.

There is some hope in seeing this video, will try this.
My theory is that we evolved from fish and should be eating closer to the diet that fish eat, not what mice, cows, rabbits and tigers eat.

  5. All good that in theoria but have you test crp,il6,il8,Tnf1 ,il17 ,fibrogen,to see if all that reduce drastically in practice and not in studies and how reduce all that test.👍

  6. Dr Child’s, I’m a 44 year old man that had half of his thyroid removed due to an 8cm growth on my right side. I’m now taking thyroid hormone and my levels are supposedly within the norm. My issue is I’m always exhausted. I have maybe 5 good hours after waking then I’m tired again. It’s affecting my work and family life a lot. Do you recommend any supplements for this? Any help would be so helpful. I’m seeing an endocrinologist but she hasn’t really helped me at all

  7. I can barely move without ibuprofen, I have widespread arthritis and joint issues. Lots of injuries from lifting patients and from weight lifting when I was younger- it was the only way to lose weight.
Thank you for this supplement list. I will try to incorporate them into my daily routine.

  8. Thank you SO much for this clip. I took notes and plan to re-watch. I would like to offer something extremely important which wasn’t included: Alpha Lipo Acid must be taken in a *bioactive* natural form, which is unfortunately more expensive. It needs the letter *R* on the title or in the ingredient listing of ALA Otherwise a bio-inactive form is being sold. You have to be diligent bc they even sell it partially active mixed with in-active form which is as bad as the completely inactive form.

  9. For a damaged spine and one knee(both permanent) I found a product that treats the cause and works Great: This being SERRAPEPTASE – Dosage is 120,000 SU(30mg) once or twice daily on an empty stomach. This works on both Inflammation and Pain and is not expensive. Again, I am using this for long term/chronic pain.

  10. I wonder how many have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on supplements, like me, with no noticeable health benefits. I

  11. Great video. I have AMG in one eye which is very inflammation sensitive. Do you recommend a particular combination for this?

  12. Joint Aid capsules have helped me reduce the swelling in my joints. I’m so glad I found Planet Ayurveda!"

  13. NIH: green tea extract might behave as antithyroid agent and possibly the consumption of green tea at high dose could alter thyroid function adversely.

  14. My older sister got cured from lichens planus after suffering for 3 years with herbal remedy from Dr iyaremosescure on YouTube

  15. Bromelain kinda works for general inflammation, I feel my fever decreasing within 20 min of taking it. Take it two or three times a day though. I sometimes combine it with curcumin+black pepper

  16. Would it be safe to take ashwagandha while taking levothyroxine? (I had half of thyroid removed, and have Hashimoto’s). I’m considering taking it. Thanks for such great info.

  17. I have Hashimoto’s plus some joint pain and some nasal stuffiness and drip (probably due to seasonal allergies). I am also dealing with unresolved Vitiligo, primarily on my face. What would you recommend?

  18. I have Alopecia Ophiasis and recently got my thyroid removed due to a goiter and my hair is currently falling out right now. I will try to incorporate anti inflammatory supplements and foods into my diet! Thank you 🙏

  19. I would like to find out which vitamin or mineral is the best for severe pain and inflammation.

  20. What would be the best vitamin or vitamins to take for gut inflammation that’s causing an auto immune response? Thank you in advance.

  21. My wife is suffering from uveitis and all the medication that they have prescribed her it hasn’t work including steroids, humira, etc and we’re been looking for some natural base anti-inflammatory those any body knows something i will really appreciate it 🙏
